Medical Injection Moulding

Using our ISO 7 clean room facility, we manufacture parts and components for single use devices, biodegradeable medical devices, implants, procedure testing kits, dental equipment and PPE, using a range of medical grade plastics.

We have a ISO 7 clean room (Class 10,000 clean room) containing five plastic injection moulding machines and, with continued investment, we will double our cleanroom medical injection moulding capacity in the next 12 months.

Insert Moulding

We can also insert mould – where an item such as a metal component is placed inside the mould tool and plastic is inserted around it. Some recent insert mould projects we have completed are medical mixing bowls with metal paddles and syringe needles.

Materials

We have experience of injection moulding a wide range of medically compliant materials such as TPE’s, polycarbonate, ABS, Eastman tritan Copolyesters and Dupont™ Crastin® PBT-SAN, as well as polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene COC, Polysulphone, PEEK and bioplastics. We can also include a wide range of additives providing specialist qualities such as antimicrobial and biodegradeable properties. Our highly skilled cleanroom team is trained in medical device handling, inspection and assembly. Hygiene and cleanroom air cleanliness to medical standards is monitored and measured on a regular basis. Other cleanroom services include metrology, inspection, sterilisation, assembly and packaging.
